Santos is committed to partnering with communities to build respectful and mutually beneficial relationships and deliver positive outcomes in the areas where we operate. Our contributions align to our three focus areas: resilient communities, economic pathways, and environment. We prioritise projects that are sustainable and provide lasting benefit to the community.

Community Reference Groups

Santos established a voluntary Community Reference Group for the Hunter Gas Pipeline in May 2026.

The eight-member group, independently chaired by Mr Garry West, was formed following an expression of interest campaign across the region.

The purpose of the group is to provide a forum for ongoing information sharing and dialouge about the project, as part of our committment to open, transparent and proactive engagement.

The Community Reference Group is an advisory body and does not have a decision-making or regulatory function.

Membership is voluntary.

Upcoming Meetings

The group is expected to meet at Quirindi (and other potential locations along the Hunter Gas Pipeline route) at least twice a year, subject to member and operational requirements.

The first meeting is scheduled for late June 2026.
